The things that keep me up at night 2
Hi everybody, it’s me Hannah, back at it with another blog, and today I’m going to tell you about the three paintings I have been doing so far. These three paintings are about the demons that keep me up at night. So far on my paintings I’ve gotten one completely done and the other two halfway done. When painting my first one it was getting my Color’s to be bold when I had put a layer of white paint on first, and then I learned that I could just put a little bit of white paint then brush it out so that it is a really thin layer. After I did that my Color’s became more bold and appeared without so many layers of paint. In my second piece of art I was drawing a skeleton holding on to a painting. When I was trying to make a skeleton I tried to make my lines as bold as possible because I wanted it to be able to stand out from the painting but I also wanted the painting to stand out from the skeleton. Well that’s the end, hope all see y’all when I update next time.

The things that keep me up at night
For my Independent project, I will be doing a series of three paintings and I will be using panel’s instead of canvases. My series of paintings will be about my sleep paralysis. I've had sleep paralysis since I was in grade 5. But ever since this year they haven’t appeared in my room. Sleep paralysis is a feeling of being conscious but unable to move. It occurs when a person passes between stages of wakefulness and sleep. During these transitions, you may be unable to move or speak for a few seconds up to a few minutes, but it feels like you’re in it for hours. Some people may also feel pressure or choking. When I’m in sleep paralysis I can see my whole room but my eyes are closed and I can’t move at all no matter how hard you try to move you can’t. And when I’m in that state I can see a man-like figure, it is so tall and it’s fingers are so long but when I look at it I still can’t see it’s face. The man-like figure is the one I have seen since grade 5 but when I was in grade 10 there was another one but this one had horns and this one was more dangerous than the last one. The first memory I am going to paint of my sleep paralysis is when I see the horned man sitting on a throne like chair laughing at me as I die. The second memory I am going to paint of my sleep paralysis is when my arms are being pulled on by long fingered hands and when he popped his head up. The last but not least, I am going to paint my sleep paralysis is when I saw this photo of a man and then a skeleton popped out from behind the picture. In conclusion, doing this project will help me get over the fact that they left and that it is like a goodbye. To me it is closure, it is something that I have overcome and now I can finally sleep without worry. This will help improve my painting skills by doing something that is meaningful myself. It will also challenge me on how to paint people.
The Celebration of Learning
The Celebration of Learning was a show that allowed the Academy students of WH Croxford high school to show what they had been working on so far this year. As a VAM student that participated in the Celebration of Learning, I think it went very well because I had presented art that I was proud of and could show without regrets. I had shown 3 Rowley photos that are in black and white and my perspective drawing. There was a lot of unique art there like photography, paintings, short movies clips, and more. If I could go back and make changes it would have to be about my perspective drawing. My perspective drawing had a birdhouse in it and I could I would have made the birdhouse look like it was in the instead of on the ground. But Other than that I would not change anything that I had shown at the art show that night.

Looks like it’s the end for this one
Everyone back at it with another blog about my project that I've been working on. Today's the day where I finally finished all of my artwork and I'm going to start promoting it on my website and my Instagram art account (hannah_jeanne33). Like I said for the last two blogs my theme was to do a splash of color. So what I have done is I had drawn a few anime characters that I've liked. I had colored a piece of them and then I had done a watercolor Background to make the rest of the drawing and my line art-pop. So I did some facial features which mean I had to make their skin color and all I can say is that it is really hard to make skin colour. And when I ran out of skin color I had to color match and sometimes I would get it wrong, so I would mess it up a little. Anyways, in the end, they came out looking good. I was shocked it's probably my best work I've ever done. I had also done a few realistic non-realistic people end I did 1 it was really good I did the second one and I didn't like it. The second one was got my favorite probably my least favorite out of all the ones I've done. Other than that or somewhere create I did make mistakes here and there or had to go over with some white paint hopefully I'll get better at staying in the lines because that's what they're there for lol. So my pop of color is acrylic paint the water colour is to make the line art stand out more. If I were to do this again, I would try to take more time to slow down and stay in my time frame and also not fall behind. Well that's it folks I hope you go and check out my art that I'm posting on my website bye see you next time.
Halfway there
It’s Hannah here once again at it with another blog about my art project add a splash of color. My independent project has been going pretty well so far other than I have fallen behind by 2 pieces of art. But I know I'll be able to catch up. So so far I've done for anime characters and drawn 2 more anime characters just haven't painted them yet ( a splash of color). So after I painted the splash of color I went and outlined the whole piece of art so that my line art pops. But I also did a watercolor background just to have some contrast and making the line art-pop and then having the acrylic paint of color-pop off of the white also. My pieces of art have come doubt pretty well I'm liking it a lot and I hope once I am finished you guys will like it too it's also like my first time doing something like this and so far it's coming out pretty well. I have about four more to do with going to be more realistic non-realistic people’s faces. Well, I hope you guys will like it see you when updating next.
A Splash Of Color
Hey everyone, I’m here to tell you about my great idea for my independent project it is called the splash of color. My idea is to draw animals, anime, and people. then I will add a light watercolor to the background and then I will put the acrylic paint on one of the features of the face of the character. For some of my art pieces, I will only color the backgrounds with acrylic paint and add watercolor to the character. I am making but 10 pieces of art I will start on March 8 and finish at the end of April. I will update you when I’m halfway done and when I’m finished with all of my artwork.
Why is presenting so scary?
Hey everyone! it’s Hannah back at it with another blog. I am here to talk to you about the presentations my classmates made and the presentation that I made. The presentations were about the art movement that they chose. The purpose of this presentation was so that people could leave with some information that they never had before. Three things that I learned are that mid-evil art uses sheep and babies in art. The second thing I learned is that Post Impressionism is beautiful. And the 3rd thing I learned is that realism is the attempt to represent subject matter truthfully.
In my presentation, I think I did well on displaying my infographic. I think I struggled with speaking loudly and in front of large groups. If I was to do something differently, I would have practiced more, and presented in front of my friends. If I had practiced more I would have been able to present information but I didn't. I wish I had done more Research added more of my research into my speech. I hope everybody enjoyed reading my blog and see you next time.

Smart goals are fun right? 🙂
L.A. goal 10.1
Hey, it’s Hannah here once again to talk to you guys about my smart goals. My first goal is to get into 10.1 ELA so that I can have more opportunities after high school. I want to get into 10.1 because I don’t know what I want to be after high school. So I want to get my grades up so that I have more opportunities to get into a good college or university so that I can further my education so I can get the job I want later in life. Miss Cunningham says to achieve this goal I have to do well in Shakespeare. I can do this by asking for clarification on what the project means and looking at other people’s work to get ideas. When we get into the harder units like Shakespeare, I will do L.A. every day for 15 minutes. I will know when I have achieved my goal when Miss Cunningham walks up to me and tells me I got into 10.1 L.A.
VAM goal drawing people’s faces
My second goal is to get better at drawing people’s faces. Drawing people’s faces is difficult for me to do. I want to get better at it because I want to be able to draw people's faces. make them look realistic instead of a non-realistic look. I want to be able to get in the details of a person’s face with a pencil before I go in and try to learn how to use pencil crayons properly. I know I'm an artist but I'm not the most skilled artist. I'm like a beginner compared to everybody else in my thoughts, hence why I want to learn how to do this all now so I can get caught up with all of them so that my art can also be seen as actual art. Drawing people's faces is hard for me because they have so much detail and then they have all these pigmentations in the face, details that I can't seem to get yet, so hopefully, with me practicing people's faces, I'll be able to get those details in there to make it look like a human face.

Copyleft or copyright? © 🧐
I am a copyleft person because I take from other pieces of art and smash them into one. I think people should be allowed to take from other people’s art. When they do, they learn different techniques and styles from looking at other art. I want to share my art with the world and hope that other people take from it, and make it into their own because when they take from my art I know that They learned something when they looked at my art. We see art all around us, everything we see is a different art form and when we see those we look at it and we come up with new ideas. We take from it, mash it up, and out of all the sketching we come up with something new but it all started with that one piece of art.
Are smart goals fun?😝
Hey, it's Hannah here! I’m here to talk to you about my smart goals and to tell you a little bit about me. I am in the Art Academy and I like to draw anime cartoons like characters. I have 2 dogs and 1 cubby cat. My first smart goal is to get better at painting, I want to get better at watercolor and acrylic paint. I want to get better at painting to improve my painting skills. How I will achieve my goal is that I will do a watercolor painting every Sunday and acrylic painting every Friday, To see my progress. My second smart goal is to take some time for myself, so I can do diamond art or to have time to color a coloring book. I will set a time every day from 9:30 to 10:30 P.M. so that I can have half an hour to myself to do whatever I want or relax. I hope you liked my blog and come again. I will be posting my painting each Monday, on my website in the gallery. Smart goals are fun right? Thanks for reading, see you all when I post another blog.
